Product Description

Designed in 1975, the CZ 75 is the flagship model of the CZ handgun line with over one million produced. An entire family of pistols is available based on the basic CZ 75 design: compacts, decockers, single action only, ambidextrous, alloy frames as well as competition pistols.

The 75 B features a steel frame, a black polycoat finish, 3 dot sights, 16+1 9mm capacity (12+1 in .40 S&W) and, of course, the ergonomics and DA/SA action that have made it the most copied handgun design second only to the 1911. The 'B' designation is an indicator that the model is equipped with a firing pin block safety.

CZ 75 B is used by more governments, militaries, police and security agencies than any other pistol in the world. The CZ 75 is quite possibly the perfect pistol.

  • All steel construction (except alloy framed compacts)
  • High capacity double column magazines
  • Hammer forged barrels
  • Ergonomic grip and controls
  • Unparallel accuracy
  • Slide-in-frame design for better recoil control
  • 3 dot sighting system (Tritium night sights available)
  • Smooth double action and crisp single action
  • Extended service life due to advanced design and superior materials
  • Firing pin block safety

    • Great 9mm pistol - Added 1 week, 1 day ago.
      Added by dhsurg

I purchased a CZ 75b new about 1 month ago. It is a great looking and great feeling pistol. The gun I bought has a smooth double action pull with no creep and the single action feels like it breaks around 5-6 lbs. No gritty feel at all. Suprisingly the magazines drop free just like the SA model. I think CZ has upped their game and their production models are now amazing. Thanks CZ for such a superior pistol. Very comfortable and enjoyable gun to shoot. No FTF or FTE in about 500 rounds so far.

This is the third CZ I have bought. The first two were long guns and I was throughly pleased with the workmanship, unbelievebale ruggedness and accuracy of these weapons. So when it came time for a pistol I bought the CZ 75B and never looked back. These things are indestructable, dead on accurate out of the box even with fixed sights and ergonomically the best I have tried. I am getting two more, one for my daughter and another for myself in another caliber just for fun! You can run a truck over these CZ's and not hurt them. After two African safaris I can tell you most of the professional hunters have at least one CZ in their truck because of their ruggedness and absolute dependability.

    • Stop reading reviews, pull the trigger and get one today. - Added 1 month, 1 week ago.
      Added by TBone

I received my CZ-75B as a gift for Christmas. Santa was good to me this year. The CZ-75B was the firearm I had been researching for months and decided it was the one for me. I quickly found out why there are no bad reviews on this gun. Out of the box the fit and finish is amazing. The CZ-75B embodies everything I envision when thinking of the perfect pistol. I am a huge fan of the all metal frame and the full sized body. The weight and low recoil help me stay on target while dumping the 17 round mag. Extremely accurate, just point it and shoot . Always on target. The ergonomics make it one of the most natural shooters in my collection. If that’s not enough, it is a breeze to take down and clean. I was a bit concerned when some of the reviews indicated the only hitch was that the tear-down procedure requires a tool and is sometimes tricky. Let me tell you, the removal of the slide stop does not require a tool – just about anything will push it out. Half cock the gun, line up the marks and push out the slide stop. It can even be removed by hand if you want to get after it. I normally use a flat piece of hard plastic though. No “tool” per say required. Overall, this is my favorite gun and I like it more and more every time I take it out. I have nearly 1200 rounds through it so far and I have had zero, yes, zero failure to feed, failure to fire, or failure to eject , failure of any kind using all kinds of ammo – from the cheapest of the cheap to the expensive rounds. The controls are natural and very straight forward. No confusion offered and I am very comfortable with the overall safety and operation of the gun. There are no questions as to the status – ready to fire, on safe, empty, etc… The trigger pull is smooth and very crisp and was fully broken in after the first few hundred rounds. I have no regrets associated with my CZ-75B. I take it with me every time I go out shooting. I can’t say that about any other guns in my collection. There’s nothing I could think of to add or change to make it better. And I can’t say that about any other guns in my collection either. The longer I own it, the more I am convinced it is a piece of art rather than just another semi-auto pistol.

My husband and I purchased the CZ 75B Stainless Steel 9mm today. It is so amazing! We both are thoroughly enjoying our new pistol. The recoil is mild, the grip is perfect for both of us, and the gun is sexy (which is very important - for me)!

      Added by Caligula

I've had my CZ 75 B for over two weeks and have shot about 300 rounds through it. By far, it is the best shooting hand gun in my collection. Recoil is mild, and it points very naturally for me. This is my first, all steel pistol. I don't know why I waited so long; I didn't know what I was missing.

    • 20 years with the CZ 75 B 9mm - Added 2 months, 1 week ago.
      Added by Mike Daly

About 20 years ago, I purchased a CZ 75 B, black finish, SA/DA in 9mm. I liked the design and the feel of the pistol in my hand. I have fired over 100,000 rounds of 9mm handloads and about 2,000 U. S. factory loads and about 2,000 rounds of European submachine gun ammo that ran a bit hot in the pressure department. This pistol has digested every configuration of bullet weight, primers, brass and bullet without a failure to feed or cycle. The accuracy is far better from this CZ pistol than from any of the other 10 semi-auto, 9mm pistols I own. Actually, it will out shoot my Colt National Match 45ACP. I carry the CZ 75 frequently and shoot it more frequently and have found that it has required minimal care to keep it running without a stoppage. I have recommended this firearm to literally hundreds of people over the years and continue to do so today. If you do not own a CZ 75 B yet, you are missing out on a fine pistol.

I have owned my duo finish CZ 75B 9mm about three weeks now and I am very impressed. Great accuracy, ease of use and the gun fits like a glove in your hand...amazing! I have shot at least 250 rounds of 115gr Federal, Winchester and cast LRN's hand loads through the gun and have not had a failure to fire, eject or feed. Sights were perfect from the factory and I can group shots touching at 30 feet standing. Overall extremely pleased and impressed.

    • CZ 75B Satin Nickel - Super - Added 2 months, 2 weeks ago.
      Added by Greg

Picked up my CZ 9mm last week and got to a range on Saturday. First, the gun in Satin Nickel looks fantastic. I haven't fired a handgun for nearly 15 years and was amazed that the accuracy was magic. This handgun simply shoots easily, stays on target and is just fun to shoot. I stumbled onto this make and model while researching the Baretta line and am so glad that I did. I would recommend the CZ 75B. So far (not long) it has lived up to the rave reviews that caused me to take a chance, sight unseen. Given the present tightness of available inventory, I was quite lucky!

      Added by Caligula

I bought a 75-P07 two years ago because I thought it looked cool and the price was right. However, once I shot it, it became my favorite pistol over my Glock and Sig Sauers. Since I was so pleased with my P-07, I have done more research on CZ and it's other pistols. I learned that CZ's are becoming more popular in USPSA competitions. I bought a CZ 75-B this past weekend for a great price at Carolina Gun Runners in Raleigh, NC, and took it out to the range after a thorough and needed cleaning. (Both of my CZ's were shipped dripping in oil.) This pistol is very comfortable and unlike my Glock 22, points naturally for me. (I have XL plus hands and have never been a fan of 1911's - I don't care for the grip safety and the grip feels too flat and squared off.)I've wanted a heavy, all steel pistol for quite sometime. The CZ 75-B has exceed my expectations. The trigger is awesome, it's very accurate, easy to control, and I love the fact that I can carry it locked and cocked or half-cocked for a double action pull. This weapon is pure bad-ass, old school fun!

    • My new old CZ 75B - Added 2 months, 3 weeks ago.
      Added by Pistol Positive

I have wanted a CZ 75B for about two years, ever since I bought a RAMI. Finally traded a brand new Taurus 9mm 1911 for a 14 year old CZ that had spent most of its life in the safe. The Taurus was OK. The 75B is a joy. I wish I had not waited so long. CZ just makes wonderful weapons and while gun snobs seem to like to look down their noses at them, I for one am proud to have found out how wonderful of a weapon they make.

    • More CZ75b!!! - Added 2 months, 3 weeks ago.
      Added by Dan B.

I had a severe case of gun fever. The cure for me is the CZ75b in 9mm, matte stainless. I wanted a high capacity 9mm. I researched for weeks reading articles, and reviews about the various automatic pistols. I boiled it down to two, the Sig 226, and the CZ75b. I chose the CZ. To me it is very aesthetically pleasing. It feels so good it the hand. The recoil is very manageable. It gets right back on target. The gun is very accurate. More importantly it is very easy to shoot accurately. I highly recommend this firearm. You won’t go wrong if you choose the 75b.

I am very impressed with the operation of my CZ75B. I have only put a little over 150 rounds through it and can say this handgun gets better with each session. It's a very accurate weapon. If you're a shooter that likes shooting 1911s then you might want to check out this handgun if you like to shoot 9mm. I would say that it will probably outlast me and be passed down to someone well...when I can no longer.

I've been a gun enthusiast for a number of years now. I even chose to be a 91F (Small Arms Repairer) in the GA Army National Guard. I've bought, and sold, a number of pistols over the years. Essentially testing out what I felt comfortable with. I've never been incredibly impressed with the cross-section of reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics with most of them. Then I bought a CZ75b. After thousands of rounds fired, I've never had a stoppage. I've never considered myself a good pistol shooter, but then again, I've never shot a pistol I've enjoyed shooting very well. Since buying my CZ, and enjoying it so much, I've gone from a so so pistol shooter, to an impressive one. A friend of mine an I enjoy playing HORSE at the range (miss the target, you get a letter, first one to HORSE losses). I went 5 of 6 perfect games at 50 ft. He got multiple letters with every game with a Barretta 92. Then we traded, and he went 3 0f 6 perfect games with my CZ. I repair weapons for the Army, and suggest that CZ do the Army a favor and put in a submission for the next trials for a new Army service pistol. V/r Matt

Having owned and shot a full sized CZ 75B for years, I recently purchased a Two-Tone CZ 75 Compact 9mm. Not only is it the most beautiful pistol around; it is dead-on accurate, has perfect ergonomics and is a joy to shoot. I take it to the range and everyone oohs and ahhs over this gun. It's a bit bigger and heavier than my Glock 19 but it's easy to carry, shoots and handles perfectly and is just plain cool to look at in that awesome two-tone finish. I want a set of the thin coco bolo grips for it off the CZ custom site and can't wait to put 'em on her. CZ rocks; hands down the finest, best looking, and best shooting guns I own. Beauty is not only in the looks department but in the design, the position and size of the controls, the awesome trigger, and that perfectly designed and executed CZ grip! I will never part with my CZ pistols; I need a bigger safe so I can add to my collection!

I bought my CZ 75B this past September & I've put near 800 rds thru it to date of all grains and powder qualities from high-end Federal to low-end Russian ammo. This gun eats it all without a single stoppage and groups it tight at 20m. I grew up on a mil-issue Browning HP so the CZ is familiar yet modern. I like the all-steel construction since I plan on shooting it for years to come and expect my guns to be rugged enough to take rough handling when the situation dictates. Good job.

I own several other pistols including Glock, Walther and Springfield Armory, and I have to say that when I go to the range or look for a pistol for home defense or concealed carry, I grab one of my CZ's. Great company, keep up the good work!

I am a tremendous fan of the CZ-75 platform of pistols. I have never had my CZ-75B malfunction, with any type of ball, hollow-point, or lead bulleted ammunition. Accuracy has been superb, as my pistol will often out-shoot SIGs and Glocks compared against it. All at a fraction of their price. The ergonomics make this pistol feel better than anything else out there. A winner, to be sure. Mike K., former NRA Action PA State Champion

After a year of research, and testing guns, I purchased my first semi automatic, the CZ75B. What finally sold me on the CZ, was the fact that I could not find any negative reviews of this gun on line....none! I used it for the first time last week, and in a word it was great! It feels great and it shoots great. One of the things that I love most, is that the all metal construction gives it some weight. Some of these polymer guns feel like toy guns. My CZ feels the way a gun should feel. Well done CZ USA!

I just purchaced my first semi automatic, the 75B. One of the main reasons for buying the 75B, is that I cannot find any bad reviews on line. I went on a Police website, and found 12 reviews, all 5 stars! I just took it to the range, and I am not disappointed. I love this gun!! Its Shoots great, is easy to aim, and it feels perfectly balanced, it feels like a real gun. Most of the polymer guns I have handled feel like toy guns. The 75B feels solid, with some heft to it...the way a gun should feel. Well done CZ!

The first problem was, I live in California,we have a 10 day waiting period, this darn near killed me, I was like a kid waiting for Christmas.. When I finally got it out to the range, I shoot about 50-60 rounds, and every time it went BANG, it seemed to shoot better and better, and I was using cheep box ammo, I can't wait to try some hand loads. You could find yourself going thou 100-200 rounds with out even knowing it. This gun can become very additive to shoot. But, boy is it FUN !!!! Thanks CZ

This is such a great pistol. I went shooting with seven friends. Most of them had Glock and Ruger polymer framed pistols. Everyone shot my pistol and they all want the CZ 75 now. This is my first pistol and I was disgusted by some of the polymer-framed guns they had. There was no comparison as far as feel, comfort, and looks were concerned. I understand polymer guns have their uses because of weight and size and I will get one soon, but the CZ 75 is a friend to the shooter.

CZ created as close to a perfect pistol as could be created. The pistol is slim and a natural pointer. It's ergonomically perfect. Accuracy is phenomenal. The sights are high and spot-on. The gun functions flawlessly with 115, 124 and 147 grain FMJ and HP ammunition. I don't know what more anyone could ask for. The biggest complaint I've heard from prospective owners are the Phillips head grips screws. But even those are part of the character of this great pistol.

Hands down the CZ-75B 9mm beats the Beretta M92, Glock 17, Sig P226, H&K USP 9mm, and H&K P2000. It's the smoothest 9mm I've ever shot and far more accurate than I will ever be. CZ probably has to thank mangaka Kenichi Sonoda and his manga Gunsmith Cats for sparking an interest in this pistol. This gun is probably the best kept secret of pistols, and thankfully that secret seems to be going away as more people hear about it and get interested in it!

I also had my fathers pistol a glock 19, out to shoot but it kept jamming, i assume because the young man shooting it was "limp-wristing" the firearm, but the CZ 75 had no problems with jamming. Needless to say CZ is my new favorite gun company, and my next handgun purchase will be an SP-01 or a P-01.

This is the second CZ 75B I've owned. I foolishly sold the first one. I purchased this one just slightly used and I considered putting a Crimson Trace on it. After one trip to the range I discarded that idea. I took turns shooting with one of the range instructors. Both in the Weaver and traditional stances the bullets hit the black consistantly at 10 yards. 1 to 1 and one half inch groups were common. 96 % of the shots were in the black everytime. I'll never sell this gun and the range instructor is making this his next purchase. It's as accurate as my Kimber Super Match II at one third the price.

The CZ-75b in matte finish was my first handgun. Every round I fired through it functioned flawlessly and it was consistently capable of hitting point-of-aim from 7 to 25 yards. Ever since seeing the CZ-75 in the Gunsmith Cats Comics back in High School, it's been my dream of owning one of your fine pistols and now I see my dream come true.

I am a proud owner of a CZ-75B that I bought in 2000. Quite simply this pistol has a wonderful feel and balance once held in the hand. It becomes a natural extension of the arm. It is a beautifully sculpted, very well engineered pistol. A must have.

I received my CZ 75b as a birthday gift. I had heard a bit about CZ but never had shot one. I am an ambidextrous shooter & fond of the 40 S&W round. The choice of the CZ75b 40S&W have been influenced by my smile when I picked up the 75b, it just felt right and very well balanced. The first one up the pipe I shot right handed (I am naturally left handed), firing unsupported except for the left hand under butt, standing right foot forward and under my elbow. At 80ft I was low left 1&3/8 in. Rapid fire at 40ft completely one handed my 10 round group was 3&1/2 inches and tending to be slightly low left. This is the most accurate out of the box hand gun I have ever shot. Bar none! My new love!

Hi! Got my fist wrapped around my first CZ-75 at a gunshow before the USSR crumbled. It had been imported thru Canada and was $1200 which in the mid 80s was what a custom race gun went for. Did not have the $$ or the will to buy it. In the late 90s I got my first 85. Loved it,...still do. Later, I got an 75Compact. Love that to. Am/was a FN High Power fan, the 75/85 had all the good features of the HP plus double action and cocked and locked carry. For a regular carry piece my 85 is perfect. The one drawback is that I was so hot to get my hands on a 75 or 85, I bought a very early one. The quality is not as great as the current production; and, I can't get replacement sights for it since the later/current ones handle the sight installation quite differently. Still, I love both my CZs. Everyone is practically orgasmic about the 1911. I've had four different variant and though I like them, I prefer the 75/85. I invite emails pro or con to my SPAM trap Zsnark@hotmail.com. Put CZ75 or CZ85 in your title so I don't delete you accidentally. AAW

I used my box stock 9mm cz75b for competion in various ipsc, speed steel and falling plate matches for over four years. I have gone head to head with competitors using pistols that cost literally four and five times the cost of the cz75b and have prevailed by a large margin. In that time I have expended over twenty eight thousand rounds of countless brands of amunition and reloads through this pistol during matches and practice. It jammed twice and after 27592 rounds had one firing pin break. A replacement was mailed to me at no cost and was received within one week of my call!! Great service, great pistol!!! I now own another one with plans for a third.

I was having trouble using heavier 180 grain ammo in my 75b 40 s&w. I called Matt in tech support and he had the answer. I sent the top slide back along with the magazines. At no extra charge, CZ had my gun working great.

My dad has owned his CZ-75 for over 20 years and not once has it jammed. even with lack of lubrication. Compared to his brother's .45 that jammed after 30 rounds. Shoots the same round as an HK or Sig but easier on the wallet. and not nearly as expensive as its all steel 1911 counterparts.

I own 3 CZ 75's (both the alloy and stainless steel versions) so far. I've owned/tried many pistols and revolvers; practically of all calibers. The CZ 75 handgun is the only pistol worthy of being called legendary, classic, or just simply outstanding. Nothing comes close to this pistols' reliability, functionality, and just plain decent accuracy. I could have saved myself a lost of money if I had purchased the CZ 75 from the start. As a matter of fact the CZ 75 is the only handgun I would recommend to a friend, relative, or professional person--you can trust it with your life.

The CZ 75B was the first handgun I ever owned. Honest to goodness, this gun has never, EVER jammed...even with the cheapest of ammo. I'm a fairly decent shot, but am at my best when shooting my CZ. Easy to clean, accurate as hell, just a beautiful pistol all around.

I bought my CZ 75 B in 1998. Like everybody said, it's the best 9mm. 1st time I used it in an open field with a target, no misses. I think the gun is great and a shooter. I'd ike to own next the VZ 61 SKORPION as part of my CZ collection. Thinking how to get one in California.

I love my new CZ 75B, looking at it, smell it, take it apart and clean it even if it is clean. That is so easy. I have it because I like it. I still prefer the old style CZ, shiny and old hammer. Make me another one. Thank you Patrick Boily

I bought mine used in 1998. It came with four magazines and a holster. This is a nail driver, one of my favorite three .40 S&W pistols. It's well built, user friendly, and extremely accurate. This was my gun on 9-11 and now my brother has it and he loves it.

I bought my CZ75B in 2002. I started combat shooting in 2003 and got more involved in SADPA(IDPA) in 2005. I've won many medals with this excellent piece made by CZ. At This stage I own 3 CZ firearms and will keep their name high. I own the CZ75B, BRNO .22 caliber long Rifle and a CZ 7x57 hunting rifle. I want to grow in the combat shooting sport and would like to become part of the "Team CZ" just to show the people what the best is on the market.

I got a 75B 40 S&W about a month ago, and I have to say, Accurate? Never jams? Grip fits perfectly in my hand. I love this gun. Did I mention accurate and never jams? I researched and researched. All the website reviews were dead on accurate. I eliminated the Glock, too bulky in my hand. S&W M&P was the next choice because it was popular among law officers. But I'm glad I went with the 75B. And boy do the peeps at the range gloat at my targets while I'm shooting. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Now just make a smaller sub compact for CC

I bought one of these at a gun show. Took it to the range that day, out of the box It could drive tacks!! Hand grip is the most comfortable of any pistol. Great feel. Love it. Great value. I like it a little beter than my 92FS. I have Kimbers, Colts, Bereta, Walthers, all which cost more.. but the CZ 75 B is my favorite! Love the weight in the 9mm, it is very accurate..can't say enough. No jams. Buy one! Just buy it.

I purchased my CZ75B at an Academy store in Texas in 2007 for $***.** (one heck of a bargain). I have run several brands of fmj, jhp, and +p through the gun with no malfunctions. It is extremely accurate and comfortable to shoot. I have two very nice 1911's, but the pistol I keep in my nightstand is the CZ75B because I know it will not jam, period, and the amount of firepower available is superior (17+1=18 rounds of 9mm). My compliments and respect to CZ.

    • CZ75B vs Glock 34 - Added 2 years, 9 months ago.
Added by CZ75B vs Glock 34

For the last 5 years I've shot in my club's monthly action pistol match where I've used both the CZ-75B and a Glock 34 in the same division. Both are excellant guns, but in 90% of the matches over that period of time, I'll end up higher in the standings with the CZ-75B  over the Glock.  I even practice twice as much with the Glock , seeing if I can get better with it, but all I have to do is put the CZ-75B in my hand and I'll do better.  The CZ-75B is a great fitting and pointing and shooting gun.  My wife also does well with her SP01.  Thanks CZ for making great guns.

As an operative in the army during the Honduran Contra/Nicuraguan Sandinista conflict I carried my personal CZ-75B as my sidearm. This pistol was the best pistol in the feild in my opinion, even better than the venerable 1911 .45ACP. It never let me down, saved my life on numerous occasions and all the while recieving very little cleaning and maintenance. You have my loyalty for life CZ. As an Disabled Veteran living on a Disability Pension, (Gulf War Syndrome) I will never be able to own another but if I could buy another handgun you can believe it would be a CZ !!!
